When I first heard about the Dream Youth Event, I thought it would be just another workshop. I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the moment I walked in, the energy was different. The facilitators were young, passionate, and spoke our language — not just in words, but in understanding.

The Youth Capacity Network created a space where I felt safe, seen, and heard. We didn’t just sit and listen. We engaged. We dreamed. We built ideas. We learned real tools — leadership skills, financial literacy, personal development — all rooted in the reality we face as young people in Tanzania  today.

What moved me most was the mentorship segment. Hearing real stories of struggle and triumph reminded me that success isn’t about where you start, but how boldly you choose to rise. I left that day with clarity, confidence, and a concrete plan for my future.

Since then, I’ve started a youth farming project in my community, joined a community youth forum, and I’m mentoring two students from my former secondary school. That one event planted the seed — and I’m now living the growth.
